I think they're right about western leftists being desperate to support any movement in the third world that claims socialism (ie modern day China and Rojava).
But the Ethiopian government doesn't claim socialism lol, these two accounts are probably just pro-TPLF Tigrayans, f*** em.
Like the TPLF literally claimed socialism to gain support from the people when they came to power in the 90s, how hypocritical do you have to be to then accuse the current Ethiopian government of doing that, when they've been pretty open aboit being economically liberal.
These people are insane, they'll literally support a genocidal maniac like Jawar Mohammed or a dictatorial ethnically divisive regime under the TPLF and try to pass it off as woke to Westerners on social media.
The game is dirty af.
Propaganda against the Ethiopian government is only gonna get worse.
Already started with these silly "WHAT'S GOING ON IN ETHIOPIA" ig posts
Even seen many Ethiopian friends of mine post that s*** on their stories and now post about US sanctioning Ethiopia lmao, they're lost and confused.
Diaspora brain is a serious mental illness.
Funny thing is even my mother and other family members were super critical of Abiy, and yes he's far from a perfect leader. But now they see how dumb that was.
Like when the alternative is literally either a TPLF dictatorship again or Oromo orgs with genocidal dreams coming to power, you might just wanna go with the lesser of evils for the time being.
