yeah I want special stats giving you new options of dialogue like new Vegas, they added this to fallout 76 recently which is a great sign going forward tbh

In general the main storyline hasn’t been the draw for me, but yeah maybe if they go hard on the main questline and get more big actors like Liam neeson in 3, it will make fallout reach a more mainstream audience

false. new vegas outshines all of the other 3d fallout games solely because it's well(dare i say better!!) written. in regards to the gameplay, it's a little better than fallout 3's, but that's not why people love the game so much.

Not just the writing, but the mechanics in general. NV is very true to the CRPG roots of the game. Lots of skill checks and plot-based ways to take care of quests. The way you built your character actually affected how you go through the game. The Bethesda Studios games were very generic, and your build only really affected combat.

It sucks, because FO:4 was still a great game. There was so much there, but they made some elements even more generic and dumbed-down. The dialog and choices were terrible, the quests were mostly unimaginative, hacky fetch quest horseshit and they relied on ambients to make it seem like there’s more content than there is. It could have been GOAT status if they fleshed it out more and played up the RPG elements, but they inexplicably tried to dumb down the game, seemingly, for wider appeal... They were never going to have ANY trouble selling this game no matter what.
