I loved Old but there’s some people who can’t wrap their heads around the intentionally awkward dialogue and acting.

    like Sacred Deer :elon:

Yeah. It's like Seinfeld. It either clicks or it doesn't.

    La Forêt still @Aruji @RASIE

That and A Promise used to be my cemented top 2 of his, but over the past couple years I've grown increasingly attached to Fabulous Muscles.

Nowadays his 2000s output is borderline unrankable for me, like Kanye's. I think Knife Play and Air Force would definitely be at the bottom, but it's impossible to choose a favorite between A Promise, Fabulous Muscles, Women As Lovers, and La Foret.

But I still feel like very few artists during the 2000s can match his output that decade. I barely ever listen to Air Force, especially compared to the other 5 albums he did that decade, so I honestly can't recall much of that one. Should probably go back and relisten tbh.

And I still think "Wondering" is a top 5 single from the 2010s

14 years later and i still know every word of this song by heart. Shoutout to that one season of Real World where the house guests covered their concert as their job.

    rise zero

    from letterboxd lol

People who hate Shyamalan really love A24's garbage movies I've noticed. Poseur horror fans basically. Midsommar is just the same dumb s*** as Hostel and The Green Inferno, but with Instagram ready aesthetics. You hate Shyamalan because he essentially created the A24 “elevated horror” formula with The Sixth Sense and The Village, and now hipsters like Ari A****** and Robbert Eggcup are prentending to be these deep thinkers off the back of it. Shyamalan's very existence knocks a hole right through your flimsy conception of “cinema.”

    They preachin tho
