Oh yeah. Like ~5 years ago, you could search for most everyday, small items (office supplies, tools, hardware, toiletries, etc) and get a bunch of household names and reputable brands in the results.

Now when you search for that stuff its just 150 no-name brands that all describe theur products in the same way, like they're using some kind of Generic form and whenever they have video descriptions in the pictures they're all half assed narrated like they hired somebody off Fiverr, with either a slideshow of photos are extremely low effort stock footage.

Even the "sponsored" and "Amazon preferred" results that they shove in your face are like that.

I was looking for rug tape/pads last night. I know 3M, one of the biggest manufacturers in the country (and all its brands) make like 40 different types. None of them were in my results; it was just pages and pages of generic s***. It'd be a different story if Amazon reviews werent a joke. Just feels like a gamble buying that kind of stuff on there now.
