I actually think the next right wing President will be significantly worse. They’ll be an actual effective fascist. Trump didn’t actually stand for anything. If his supporters were like “Trump Rocks, Medicare 4 All ” he would have suddenly supported that. He literally just echoes what his base wants.

the fact is washington is an absolutely reprehensible hive of scum and villainy. his messaging in 2016 was populist and anti-politician, most people hate politicians. when he got in office and appointed a bunch of bush-era neocons to his staff/cabinet, that was very different to the messaging of his campaign and a betrayal of what he ran on, the first of many.

despite that, he didn't start any wars sending poor people to far flung corners of the globe to die for oil companies, so automatically is better than bush.
