I never could get into anything they’ve done, but their frontman always had a great ear for melody—so I get why they shifted direction a bit. Might revisit their stuff. It’s been a while.
One of my favorite recent discoveries. Like if Belle & Sebastian were a late 70’s new wave and power pop band.

!https://youtu.be/0t7lUODi4LA?si=Tqwd399TsqUGiFXBI haven’t, but I’ll definitely check it out now.

Would take way too long to go through them but Girls Generation/Wonder Girls/Shinee were 2nd gen. Red Velvet/Blackpink/BTS/Twice/Got7 etc. were 3rd Generation, 4th gen are the newer groups from 2018 to now, and 1st gen are a bunch of seminal groups you (and I tbh) haven't heard of.
Here is a 1st gen song,

I have a distinct memory of someone (probably kyary or VB) playing some 60s Korean girl group in the plug and you were like "this is a jam"

Yeah I think you ignored my recommendation to watch one of his six classics and chose to watch one of his painfully boring ones instead. Should have gone chrono.
