Largely expected results from what i see. AfD weren't gonna "win" (they need a coalition) but have risen tremendously, and will likely continue to over the next few years. They've more than doubled support in 3 years and are #2. This is still a right-ward trend for Europe

While they do pose legitimate concerns imo, I feel like their affect if they ever were to get in power is overstated. So far, a lot of Europe's right seem to just gel into the EU/atlanticist core smoothly. Even if they campaign otherwise, the realities of European states' lack of independence takes grip.

If Merz can't improve beyond Scholz's nightmare run as Chancellor, then this will get very very bad next time and it would have benefited AfD not to be involved in a coalition rn.
