drake’s the biggest hip hop artist of all time lol idk who can even argue this at this point. he about to drop a project 10-11 years into his career and sell at least 650k lmao.

You posted nothing to prove your right 😂

“Men lie women lie numbers don’t”

Jay was 3 to 5 of his era and you can’t PR your way out of those facts. 😂

Luda and Nelly, Eminem were bigger than him uh oh 😂

Facts got this roc nation intern going crazy

But Jay was very consistent and a good businessman like I said.

My only argument was against you saying he has no international hits

Just admit you were wrong fam

He's probably more current and more popular,

but "bigger" is a stretch. His wife is Beyonce for christ sake and he's a billionaire.

  • Jan 12, 2021

You can't confuse who's hotter and more current with "bigger"

    Water is wet
So was and is 50 cent.

Jay has never had an international hit song. Didn’t tour world wide until Beyoncé and was always 3rd or 5th biggest hip hop act even at his career height.

He was just consistent and a good businessman.

    Fatboy said Nothing controversial.

Drake a bigger artist than Jay was in his prime commercially for sure, that's not debatable. That doesn't necessarily mean he has had a bigger impact on hip-hop culture.

everyone knows a drake song, not everyone knows a jay-z song

jay-z is iconic in hip-hop, but drake is iconic in media in general. he's the biggest pop star in hip-hop to ever exist, that's just a fact.

this doesn't mean he raps better than jay-z, he just has had a bigger overall career and it's not even over yet.

This is not true. Everyone knows Jay-Z

    Everyone doesn't know Drake.

They may recognize drake songs more than Hov songs, but that's because he's hotter and more relevant as an music act and enough time hasn't passed to truly determine if Drake's music is as recognizable as Jay Z's has been from 96' on.

But drake is not bigger than Hov as an entity or in terms of iconography.

He may be the biggest pop star in hip hop to ever exist at some point, but even that isn't all the way true when you consider guys like 2pac, Snoop Dogg, Kanye, and Jay Z who have all transcended to become Hip-Hop pop superstars.

And what you're saying is 100% not fact. Do you not know who snoop dogg or 2pac is???

    That's debatable tbh. It's a conversation.

But Jay Z has how many #1 albums? He's been in this s*** since 96'. The run alone suggest that that's not necessarily true what Fat Boy said. It could be an absolute fact in the next couple of years though.

Drake isn't bigger than Hov musically, yet IMO. He may be hotter and more relevant right now, but overall no not yet.

idk you kinda proved my point with a few statements here so i'mma just leave it at that lmao

Not really. You're saying Drake's songs are more recognizable than Hov's which may be true RIGHT NOW. But enough time hasn't passed for you to declare that he's the biggest pop star in HIp-Hop ever.

Like drake's biggest songs ever are what, One Dance? Hotline? Hold on? In My Feelings?

Okay lol but he hasn't which is inherently the point. This statement that he's bigger than Jay-Z in ANY way is a bit premature.

And I say this as a Drake fan who prefers his rapping and music in general to Jay.

Drake is more known worldwide than Jay z. I believe that's the definition of bigger

Someone releasing a greatest hits during his prime makes zero sense, so I don't see how that is inherently the point.
Btw, is Jay Z greatest hits in the billboard 200 chart? Last time I checked he had zero albums in it
