Someone releasing a greatest hits during his prime makes zero sense, so I don't see how that is inherently the point.
Btw, is Jay Z greatest hits in the billboard 200 chart? Last time I checked he had zero albums in it

HE'S 2PAC FAM HIS GREATEST HITS BEEN ON BILLBOARD 200 FOR LIKE 23 YEARS fam

What you mean? That is the point. To assume that Drake is so big that his greatest hits would stay on billboard for over 20 years straight is incredibly premature and wild

So any forecast is premature? Looking into the type of numbers that Drake's previous albums are doing and the certifications that his singles get regularly I don't see how it is that farfetched that they will still be relevant in the year to come.

What doesn't make sense is comparing two artist through something that only one of them has released... You can only compare this through some kind of projection of what would Drake achieve when doing the same thing.

I'm not saying that 2pac is a bigger artist than Drake, but doing the comparison through what you were saying doesn't make sense and is kind of misguiding.

    Water is wet
So was and is 50 cent.

Jay has never had an international hit song. Didn’t tour world wide until Beyoncé and was always 3rd or 5th biggest hip hop act even at his career height.

He was just consistent and a good businessman.

    Fatboy said Nothing controversial.

Drake a bigger artist than Jay was in his prime commercially for sure, that's not debatable. That doesn't necessarily mean he has had a bigger impact on hip-hop culture.

Fair. Only time will determine how bigger Drake's impact will be later on much like Jay's did later on.

    I'm out

bro tupac has had two songs chart in the top 10. drake has the most ever. more entries than the BEATLES. has been streamed almost 40 BILLION times in the past decade. has multiple number ones. has a brand deal with nike that sells out in seconds. with all due respect to tupac he’s just not as big as drake which is fine.

Niggas did the same for Hov... We was saying Hov was goated after Black album and that was 8 years in

  • Jan 12, 2021

Drake been bigger than Hov for a while now. That's all good and dandy but he should be worrying about being better, richer and having more IMPACT on hip hop than him now.

You posted nothing to prove your right 😂

“Men lie women lie numbers don’t”

Jay was 3 to 5 of his era and you can’t PR your way out of those facts. 😂

Luda and Nelly, Eminem were bigger than him uh oh 😂

Facts got this roc nation intern going crazy

But Jay was very consistent and a good businessman like I said.

DMX was bigger, too. And 50. Lots of artists have been bigger than Jay Z in his prime. Jay is just from NYC, never sang, sold d****, has the prototypical street to rap to board room story, is very impactful to "the culture" (RocaWear, owning a tiny tiny tiny piece of the Nets) etc.

  • Jan 12, 2021

atm yea but of all time its debatable, jay shot himself in the foot by keeping his entire discography on tidal

  • Jan 12, 2021

It’s because Hov doesn’t make melodies which is the only way an artist can become a worldwide success. He uses other artist for that. Hov is still culturally bigger than every rapper with the exception of Pac & maybe Wayne.

  • Jan 12, 2021

Jay-Z was never the most popular during any year. Thats facts. He was just consistently in the top 5 most popular rappers for a long time

    Well yeah

  • I wouldn’t say he is bigger than jay z is kind of the same. One thing I can say is drake got to super mega star and stardom as a hip hop act and an artist faster than jay z did.

    Big Big 📠📠📠

Jay z not selling or streaming like drake, domestically or globally. It is not close. No rapper in the same stratosphere right now

You can’t compare drake to rappers anymore, you have to go against the biggest pop artists

Is he wrong ? People swear Jay Z was some sort of mega star in his prime lol

Drake is arguable a top 2 - 3 biggest hip hop act in terms of popularity & maybe even number 1 when he’s done

Roc Nation’s pr team has warped everyone into believing Jay Z is some sort of gigantic hip hop presence because of his net worth & business successes

    Youre a f***ing idiot

Jesus yall really started listening to hip hop in 2014 and it shows
