I say all this as someone who used to smoke Newports and Black & Milds often in my teens and early 20s. Dark times in my life I know but it be like that.

The war against and move to ban cigarettes and tobacco products has never made sense to me. People willingly consume those products with the knowledge of the health risks. They do not care. Just leave them be.

I can understand wanting to do something to prevent the amounts of second hand smoke and s*** because nobody likes inhaling that s*** when they don't want to. But outright banning the products and waging a war against companies that actually provide quality controlled products with "FDA approved amount of chemicals" is foolish. It will have the opposite effect than what they are looking for.

I ain't wanna say it but...aye man issa pretty specific ban.

Honestly, the current regulations are fine, you could just put the graphic warnings on them like other countries do, that does more to dissuade from smoking

The tobacco industry is quite insidious, but banning menthols does nothing to curb it, it just makes people mad, and we don’t have a good enough healthcare system so people can reliably kick their habit (like most other countries that have banned menthols in the past)

I’m not pro-tobacco anyway, I wish people could get off that s*** because it’s a taxing addiction literally, but generally it is a responsibility of the individual to decide
