I just beat Garuda and reached level 50. Think I'mma change to Samurai for a lil bit, and see how it feel. Been leveling up as a Paladin, and it was nice. First time actually being a tank in an MMO. It ain't as complicated as it looks.

At first I was thinking of going Dark Knight once I finished ARR, and taking that all the way to 80, but Gunbreaker is looking more appealing to me all of a sudden. That's what I'll probably do when I reach 60

Some of the best PVE i've ever experienced was from this game . Plus the music is incredibly dope

I've had a good experience so far. When I tell em I'm new or first time doing a dungeon. The people in the party usually tell me if there is anything I need to watch out for. I'm still on ARR though technically, the dungeons so far haven't been anything too crazy like I've seen.

Like last night I was doing duty rollette n got Casterium Praetorium. Over half the party dropped out soon as we got in it only was 3 of us that stayed and I was the tank. Managed to get through it still, felt great

dead at people leaving at castrum praetorium, thats one of the better ones you can get in duty roulette due to the high asf xp

Yo I just made the move of getting the Scions to uhh Dor Mhona or w/e it’s called. Am I still far off from Heavensward? I been doing a lot of side quest since Praetorum n haven’t pushed the msq gonna get back to it.

Got hooked on the Yo Kai Watch grind for a lil bit
And got a full set of that Ironworks gear item level 130.

There’s a whole lot of Blue side quest that have popped up should I just get em out the way and do them?

Honestly I avoided some of the blue quests when I was first going through ARR cause there was a s*** ton of them

This list made it easier for me though, its got every blue quests sorted by level with what it will unlock like a new dungeon/trial or feature

Also I think you're still pretty far off, just looked at the msq list and it looks like you just finished 2.1

I don't bother doing any sidequests unless they're for aether currents, you'll be in one expansion for ages otherwise

I literally haven't done more than 10 of the yellow sidequests and I have like hundreds of hours in this game

Been itching to play Final Fantasy since the XVI teaser dropped and I've heard good things about XIV lately, so I decided to resubscribe.

I hate playing games with mouse and keyboard so I'm trying to get used to playing this with a controller. The controller is not as efficient as mouse / keyboard and the targeting is super clunky, but I've improved after a few hours and playing this way just "feels" better.

I play controller on this too, was kinda hard to get around at first but this video helped me quite a lot with my controller settings. Setting filters can make targetting a lot easier too.

I'll check this out. I've been using this guide so far and it's been helpful.

The configuration has been the biggest pain about all this so far. Spent around an hour setting up the hotbars and tweaking all the settings and I'm still not done, plus I also want to redo the UI eventually.

If you want job specific guides on how to set up your controller, check out squintina’s youtube channel. Her setup is super comfortable and I’m pretty sure she has one for every job

The guide I linked earlier was actually written by Squintina. I've been using her hotbar setup for bard and it's been quite intuitive so far (though I haven't unlocked all the actions yet).

I just been levelling a black mage recently, my Samurai almost at 80 too

Idk why my dumbass decided to use up my free Fantasia and switch from a Xaela Au Ra, to a Lalafell. Then 48 hours later, I bought 3 Fantasias from the cash shop, and switched back to an Au Ra, only to use up another Fantasia and try out Hrothgar less than 12 hours later

I’ll probably stick with this look for a while. I know I’ll eventually switch back to an Au Ra though
