These regimes opress freedom of speech, movement and minoritygroups.
A black movement would have never even had the chance to materialize because that is one of the top priorities of an authoritarian regime: suppression of minoritygroups or forceful assimilation.
Black people were at the whims of whatever the leadership saw as right at the time, that Castro was so progressive when it came to race relations was a good thing but the freedoms we take for granted in the west are what people under these regimes want to, you don't have to be a capitalist for that.
