Just realized i never posted about my own pick for the first week lmao

So i went with Cape Fear by Scorsese. De Niro stole the show. Might be my least fav Scorsese that i've seen so far but i still have a lot to see from his filmography so that doesn't say too much. I love Jessica Lange in American Horror Story, but i didn't really think she was anything special in this film. Light 7/10

For my second watch i went with Beyond The Black Rainbow by Panos Cosmatos. My viewing of this film proved to me that this guy is one of my favorite new up and coming film directors out there. His style is sooooo trippy, and even though i was lost on the plot (like almost everybody else who watched this film) i still really liked this. Mandy was more focused, but Beyond The Black rainbow was maybe better at being a hypnotizing experience with the right music and visual combo to put you in a trance like state. Strong 7/10 for me and a potential grower for sure. Can't wait to see what other films this guy is gonna come up with in the near future!
