Tonally it was all over the place, and the themes were aswell. That and some outdated special effects are my main gripes with this film that has loads of interesting concepts, imagery, good acting and great editing that makes it a joy to watch
i'd say a 7/10
kinda reminded me of Cronenberg

I still wanna watch it sometime lmao just cause i love 2001 so much and i'm just interested where they going with it. The fact that it's a follow up to 2001 and doesn't seem to get much hate must say something right

I need a rewatch, wanted to love this so much given my fascination with the moon itself and my love for these kind of genre films, but it didn't do anything for me
it's a well made film though and i'm sure you'll find at least some things in it that you really like

It isn't talked about much but in most cases when there's a bad sequel to a beloved classic it gets much more hate than 2010 has gotten it seems. I'm still interested in checking it out for that reason lmao
