gap cause above 2 are some of my favs of all time

• The Shining
• Full Metal Jacket (would be top 3 if it was as good as the first half)
• Eyes Wide Shut
• Dr. Strangelove (overrated imo, but have only seen it once)

Actually I’ve only seen Interstellar out of all those movies

Don’t want to watch 2001 or Solaris, saving that for going through discographies in order and I’m not appealed by anything I’ve heard about the Martian.

Is sunshine dope? So far I’ve looked towards Ad Astra and Moon

Dope film but theres a style break in the 3rd act that i personally wasnt a fan of. The writer of Sunshine made Ex Machina & Annihilation so def worth checking out for that reason

Sunshine (2007) spoilers:

I really wish I could give this 7.5 on letterboxd. First two acts are beautiful, intelligent and moving at the perfect slow speed space movies often find themselves with. But Jesus Christ that third act was awful and I didn’t feel like the movie truly found it’s footing moving towards the same initial pace when we approached the end. Still think this is something that will grow on me as I fondly look back on all the great pop parts but for now, I really feel like this could have delivered so much more
