Not at all. Many people have expressed that they wish we had actual difficulty modes and that we shouldn’t have to play a 60+ hour game once and then play it again to get the most out of it. I been saying it since they announced FF mode without even showing it off. Showing it off made me like it even less.
There’s a bit of a psyop brewing around this positive pre-release reception but criticism is out there and justified

And now we also learned that NG+ is the only place where you can get score ratings on your combat performance because they want you to focus on story in new game
I figured that. It’s apparent that they really want you to focus on experiencing the story on your first run. Sucks for me cus I never give af about a games story. I just want to actually play.
Then don’t play FF bro. They are story based games and always have been. This is the first time a score has ever been added to fighting in their games and is literally a bonus. Wild critique.

Not to me. I always play FF to play the game. Story and cutscenes are second fiddle to playing the game. Idc if the story is bad if the game itself is good.
Same with any game really
