@BhrisXX eNDING a lot of people hate the ending lol. I like the ending song but understand people hating the ambiguity of the ending
I like it, I hate the ambiguity only cause I really liked Clive but it works well, very emotional especially with torgal Jill and gav :broncry: it was fitting

real I have liked seeing where various people stand on it. Was nearly expecting Clive to wake up with joshua in another dimension or some s\*\*\*. Wondering what they have set it up for in the future. Like where does the future lie

Can I go back and finish quests after beating the main?

No so lol be sure you do all them sidequest too. Make a manual save before you do the main quest again. I have a manual save to go back to for some trophy things that I don't feel like doing in final fantasy mode new game plus

I think I might have too with that pivotal story moment. Cause at that point I said these s***s are dogshit. So think those I just lost but did all others. So final fantasy mode going to have to do those all again lmfao.
Yoshi-P: “If you look back at the older Final Fantasies, Ifrit always comes first. You always use him first, then you learn better summons then you never use Ifrit again, we felt really sorry for him. The worst has gotta be FFVIII, he Ifrit gets beaten by just some students in their graduation test and he has to become their servant. I mean, that’s just too bad for him. It’s time for his revenge”.
Always loved Ifrit, especially in 10

if you load up a cleared game it just puts you back to before final boss

You ever beat XV? i liked xvs ending but it was kinda bittersweet like this so I was just hoping the main character would survive this time so the ambiguity was enough for me to like this end more
Cleaning what I hope with all my heart is the last of these damned side quests before I do the final story mission
Late game:
Don't think the fight with Odin was a disappointment, was good to finally have a sword vs sword fight (wish it was in the split ocean instead). But his character was ass

I thought the character was great, but the Voice Acting was probably the was weakest in the game for the Eikons. He should have been a little more maniacal, IMO.

Wouldn't say the character was trash, he was just the typical brainwashed religious nut used as nothing more than a pawn by a greater power. Which isn't all that interesting overall.
As for the fight I think the sword fight was cool, but the Eikon fighting itself was the most disappointing out of all the battles. Would've been better if we got a more full fledged fight against the Odin form, but given the location they had the battle take place and how Odin maneuvers they probably couldn't figure it out.
Beaten the game
Didn't know the trophy list required that much of me, I'll get to that s*** later
My thoughts
Cast: Pretty decent crew, I like that aside from Clive I guess, the character design is pretty grounded. They all look like regular people, no crazy anime hair like Cloud for example, just regular folk. Mid is the best girl no doubt. Byron was probably my favorite of the whole crew we came across.
Side Quests: If you put the story into three cours and the respective side mission trajectory there. It's pretty ass overall for the first two cours. Then once get towards end game where things connect and play out there's a few quests that are rewarding. Definitely was way too MMO like though, if Yoshi P and crew get another crack at a mainline game this should definitely get overhauled.
Combat: Combat is very fun, I know people compare it to DMC, which I've never really enjoyed how DMC plays. Aside from difficulty being pretty lackluster first playthrough, the combat itself is fun at the least. I feel like Diamond Dust is incredibly OP, that s*** depletes stagger bar singlehandedly at times. Odin and Titan felt the weakest as far as cohesion with other powers to me. I love the Asura's Wrath kind of feel of the Eikon battles, I could do without the QTE though. Rather that just be a cutscene than having to spam a button.
Story: Story itself is fine, decent, nothing crazy. Especially if you've played plenty of JRPGs, but they followed through and didn't trip over their own feet. My biggest critique is I don't like how Jill was written, she didn't really stick as a character to me. She's kind of passive and in the background, and you very obviously see she'll be Clive's love interest. Then she just kind of fades into the background mid way through.
Personally I don't see any need for a DLC with this game. I know some people want that or even a XVI-2\. Where we are at present and the ending, I just don't see that as necessary. Clive likely still alive, I just don't see what they would do from this point forward, and the past doesn't really interest me here. Solid story though.
Overall I don't know who'll make FF17 in 8 years or whatever, but I'd like to see this team get another crack at one. I think they could really build off what they've learned from this entry. Clearly Final Fantasy has been trending towards action RPG for awhile and they nailed that aspect of things.
