kingdom hearts 2 has a 4 hour intro, and i think thats a bold artistic choice. I don't care that a game has a slow start, every regular in the jrpg thread is saying its great

tdlr is that in FFXIV 1.0 players started noticing a red moon in the sky (Damalud) ; between patches the red moon got bigger and bigger until it was revealed that Bahamut was trapped inside Dalamud - Bahamut got free and just nuked the whole game to create FFXIV 2.0

Just finished the final fantasy 16 minutes of gameplay demo
when It finally gets good it endsCrazy final 40 minutes to the demo. Once you finally get control it gets so good
But still that first hour cutscene after cutscene after cutscene of exposition was NOT for me
but that’s just my opinion on JRPG dialogue and stuff. But finally at the end the politics began to get good. Hope it keeps that up, and I know the balance will be more gameplay in the real game as that was just early game exposition.
