Entering chapter 12 soon
Think I’m almost on the final push to the end? Done all side activities in all regions.
Total game time of 109 hours: I’m still trying to process that insane ending, but this was a video game experience I’ll never forget. regardless of how batshit the story is, the character interactions, music, and gameplay were some of the best I’ve experienced in a RPG. this is my current GOTY and I’m very intrigued to see how part 3 pans out.
10/10
has combat improved since the first part? didn't think it was anything notable
Just got to chapter 12??? the whole game is connected via the water like this?!?!

Grinded this s*** out
70 hours in now.
All side quests done
Queens blood complete (I built such an OP deck lmfao it’s impossible to lose with it)
Only thing I’m missing 2 protorelics in the canyon region (I read this unlocks after chapter 12)
Maybe after I beat chapter 12 I can play straight through the end?? Idk. Probably got at least 10+ hours left or some bullshit
What the actual f*** is this bullshit Rufus fight

What the actual f*** is this bullshit Rufus fight
First tried it ngl it has a similar gimmick to the one in Remake iirc
I think I give up on the final Protorelics. These fights are bullshit
Might just move forward and proceed with trying to beat the game
Im determined to beat this game today
all side quests complete besides the party animal one where you gotta go through 5 rounds of bullshit, and the final 4 protorelics on the island
Just died to the final boss with a bullshit final attack cause I didn’t kill them in time
85 hours and 35 minutes later
The game has been completed
64 hours. Chapter 11. I gave up trying to do the side content. I’m ready for this s*** to be over already. I don’t know how people play 100+ hour jrpgs without going mad

I feel this but at the same time, I wanted Persona 5 to be even longer lol

Still haven’t finished p5… Im just about to start the 3rd palace. Great game, but I burned myself out binging it lol.
I plan on returning at some point because I need to finish that before I start p3r
Why did this sell so poorly? It’s amazing. If I remember correctly Kingdom Hearts III sold pretty well. Where did the hype for this go?

I legit think Square Enix is just claiming the game didn't "meet expectations" to justify the employee layoffs, when in reality the game did as good as expected.

Unrealistic sales expectations been a thing with Square Enix. Remember even back in the Tomb Raider reboot and Deus Ex Human Revolution days, games would "underperform" even though they did great numbers

that was a diff thing. it's more than just sales numbers, price per sale matters more. those games unfortunately hit the bargain bin quickly and their studios were located in some of the most expensive places to be own a studio. they "sold" great but weren't profitable, which is unfortunately what matters when you throw that much budget at a game
Eidos Montreal in particular was sitting at a under a 1% profit margin at the time when Square Enix sold them despite the Deus Ex games having decent sales numbers. Crystal Dynamics was at ~3.5%. Keep in mind the stock market average is 7%.
