I really enjoy the title track, Can I Believe You, A Long Way Past the Past, Maestranza, I'm Not My Season, and Featherweight. Not sure I have much desire to revisit the album in full though

Damn this was super upbeat, was not expecting Robin to be this happy throughout the whole album. This is a super accessible and catchy album.

It’s pretty good, some moments remind me of Beach Boys with the vocal harmonies especially on For A Week or Two, and the Judee Sill influence is more prevalent then I’ve ever heard before. Featherweight made that very apparent.

I was expecting some darker moments to hit but it never came. I guess I usually like that sound more, cause there are more moods to explore, but this was refreshing to say the least. I just wish more introspective moments darker parts had come, but I was still fairly happy. The production also sounded a lot more clean and clearer too.

I guess one of the biggest problems I have is the influences feel a lot more prominent, and the band doesn’t really have their own trademarks as much this time around. Songs like Going to The Sun Road feel like very noticeable Animal Collective and or Beach Boys influences.

Still this was pretty good 7/10

Fav Songs: Wading in Waist High Water, Sunblind, Jara, Featherweight, For A Week or Two, Maestranza, Shore

    Worst Song: Young Man’s Game

Crack-Up is better, there were more textures and atmospheres explored, and just stronger tunes, felt a little more epic, but in kind of this hypnagogic kind of way

Yeah, I was not expecting it to be this good spirited, but I’m really happy for Robin, hell they even have him in a field smiling for the band’s banner picture on Apple Music.

Glad he’s in a good place

I think you could appreciate this joint more seeing where they came from before with Helplessness and Crack Up. Its more straight forward in structure but the songwriting is still there. I just wouldn't recommending starting here if I was a new listener.

One thing I do know is they make a way better summer album than The National
