you got to come with sources
Gimme like an hour I gotta ask someone for sources
He wants black people to be in the same positions he thinks Jewish people are in but going about it entirely wrong.
Imagine if instead of preaching these schizo conspiracy theories he was preaching for community, education, two parent home, etc
Yup exactly. Said as much when he said he was “jealous” of how Jewish people act and operate

The best thing Kanye has said in all of his interview in the past 2-3 week. Is when he asked Lex Fridman if creating a all black company is anti semitic.
yes, he needs help
no, the reason he’s anti-semitic is not because of his mental illness
even racists & anti-semites struggle with mental health issues
i’ve seen your posts in other threads, and you definitely have been defending him
How the f*** do you know?
The guys literally going into conspiracy theories, which is common for people with mental health issues, but the mental struggles have no bearing on his anti-semitism? Literally thinks his bipolar disorder was misdiagnosed by a Jew which is just going to exasperate his issues.
Ya a lot of racists and anti-Semites struggle with mental health issues, the two almost go hand in hand.
I’ve run into a lot of f***ing qanon conspiracy types through work over the years. All those mfers had mental health issues. To say that that’s not a reason for this latest episode is to talk out your ass.
What we can say, is that he has the power and money to take care of his mental issues but hasn’t so he 100% deserves what’s come to him. Especially if he thinks his BPD is a Jewish conspiracy, we’re not getting out of this. But to say his deteriorating mental health has no part in this is some bullshit.
There are 8 million jews to 46 million Black American. You cant really compare them the same.
I will say tho, I think there’s a modern historical context that is being lost in regards to the US and how black and Jewish communities exist in proximity to each other and what led to this narrative specifically between these two groups. I think this very important context is needed because I push back on the idea that the vantage point operates from the same place as Nazi Germany. They both can point at stereotypes but anti semitism is largely historically a very white European thing. You can read a lot of black leaders from MLK to James Baldwin who will point out “Jewish slumlords” and “Jewish shop owners” when being overcharged for things or treated as second hand. Some leaders also went back and contextualized what they meant and some left it at that.
The context, very briefly, is:
WASPs had a disparaging view of Jewish people immigrating to the US in the late 1800s and early 1920s even before the Holocaust and Nazi Germany. This is a view that has been rampant throughout European history. Because of this, some Jewish people found their opportunities in places that white people were not interested in. Eventually, this also trickled into entertainment. The outcomes of this for black people was a very mixed bag. Some positive and some negative. You have Yiddish jive. You also have Jewish people who put forth narratives of themselves as “the interpreters of black culture.”
Abraham Melamed has a good book on this called “The Image of the Black in Jewish Culture: A History of the Other” that I read a few years ago. Interesting read if you’re really trying to get more nuance than KTT2. It’s a constructive book.
So in my perspective and from what I’ve read, there’s not a conspiracy like a lot of stereotypes put forth. This is a consequence of circumstance that has led to genuine tension that deserves a better convo than what Kanye can put forth. Kanye’s involvement actually imo shuts down any opportunity for the nuance needed to have any self reflection.
You said you wish Black people operated similarly. I am saying the the lower amount of Jewish people in the US allows that strong sense of community in a sense . It is harder for 40 million people to move the same way as 8 million.

mental health issues don’t just turn you into a radical anti-semite/racist
yes, the conspiracy theory rabbit hole heavily contributes & pushes one to get deeper into it
no, it was not the initial seed
Ye’s been dropping hints that he feels this way throughout his whole career with one-off comments about the Jews
he’s only recently decided to be publicly open about it, but he’s been this way for a very long time

mental illness can definitely turn you antisemetic/racist
if someone is paranoid/schizophrenic they're not going to have belief systems that are grounded in reality
it's why online fake information is so dangerous bc it fuels mentally ill people. people aren't born racist/antisemetic
You named two places where the population is over 1 million for Jewish people, for Black Americans, there are 18 states with a population of over 1 million. There is room for improvement but it is harder to do it 18 times vs 2.

overly long post incoming because I can't make a thread rn and this feels like a relatively appropriate thread to post it. will delete and make my own thread once i'm able to.
Hey y'all. I've been off KTT for a couple of months. Figured I'd come back to give a Jewish perspective on everything that's going on right now. For some background, I'm not heavily religious, but my grandmother was a Holocaust survivor who emphasized the power of religion in keeping our family together. I grew up in a majority Jewish affluent neighborhood. Kanye was also a role model for me. His music and confident persona gave me a certain framework to cope with severe depression. So I feel pretty equipped to provide some perspective for people who don't understand just how harmful Kanye's rhetoric has been and also just want to provide some venting on how much this sucks.
I also don't want this to become a breeding ground for whataboutisms. I vehemently oppose hateful rhetoric against all walks of life.
I'm going to start with some concessions. Yes, the entertainment and banking industries are rife with Jewish executives. I know some people in these sorts of positions. I can tell you that they did not get their jobs because of their religion. They got their jobs because they were put in positions early on to go to prestigious institutions, which ultimately leads to prestigious jobs. Jewish culture places great emphasis on education. It is laughable to think that there's some Jewish cult that's determining every major decision and ensuring that more Jews come in to perpetuate their "agenda."
Speaking of agenda, I do not understand how there could even be such thing as a "Jewish agenda." The idea that Jews want to create a more secular world is simply not grounded in reality. There are 8 million Jews in America. In what world would a "path to domination" through the secularization of the United States even become feasible?
That's the most I'll do to refute any of these idiotic points. Because they are that stupid and antisemitic. Now I want to move to the consequences.
The past month has presented us with the most public antisemitism that I have seen in my life. We live in a society where people want someone to blame. The average dude who has never met a Jewish person in his life is now blaming Jews for all of their problems because they supposedly all have the power to ruin everyone's lives. Simply put, none of it makes sense. It never will.
Jews are disproportionately targeted by hate crimes already. In 2020, Jews were the third highest targeted group, despite making up about 2% of the U.S. population. I can only imagine more hate crimes in the coming months. More synagogues burning. More Orthodox Jews attacked on the streets. I go to a religious school. I legitimately fear that my school will be targeted, and targeted soon.
This is the same rhetoric that was responsible for starting the Holocaust. That's why this is dangerous. Kanye (and Kyrie while we're at it) have promoted antisemitism to at least 100,000,000 people at this point. I remind you, there are 8,000,000 Jews in the United States. I would willingly bet that most Americans don't know a Jew personally, since we're mostly localized around the coasts. These comments being the most that a lot of people will ever know about Jewish people is deeply troubling, and likely to proliferate more hate crimes.
To end all of this, I'm scared. I'm scared for myself. I'm scared for my friends. I'm scared for my family. The only way for the notion of Jewish power to be defeated is by attacking Jewish people with no consequences. Any consequence for these attacks is merely viewed as proving Kanye's point. It's a lose-lose for us.
I hope that this can provide some perspective. Happy to answer some questions before I ask for a perma ban again.
