Do you guys honestly believe his new s*** is straight trash,or are you just disappointed that his output isn't up to the same quality of his previous projects ends believe they could be been better than what they were?

(Purely speaking about his musical side, couldn't care less about arguing this man's political choices the nigga is grown)

Don't get me wrong,I did NOT like Jesus Is King when it dropped, but some fans act so hyperbolic about this man's music that they sound like forgotten stepchildren and I'm tryna see where everyone's heads at.

Disappointed. But also expected. He's involved in like 16 different things rn and he has 4 kids lmao, makes sense that his music isn't as good as it once was.

Also, he was never the best technical rapper to begin with, his bars in the early days were meticulous and you could tell he used to take a lotta time with it. That's biting him in the ass now because he's obviously spending less time making individual songs and it shows in his lyrics/wordplay

I liked Ye when it released but haven’t went back in almost a year. That entire era leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Everything was rushed and I felt he prioritized the antics over the art.

JIK is very lackluster which sucks compared to the effort he put in videos and marketing it. His best years are behind him if we are being honest, it took me so long to admit that to myself. It’s infuriating that he spends a lot of time working on music more than ever compared to post- Yeezus Ye but the outcomes are always subpar. Sometimes it feels like he puts little no effort in rapping anymore.

Also I’d like to mention that the fandom is worse then it’s ever been. It’s full of young kids who honestly have no clue why Kanye was so revered as an artist and icon. They blindly follow his words and eat up his new music. It’s so cringe seeing these new Ye stan IG accounts jack the minimalist/futurist/Blade Runner aesthetic from each other.

    Nothing but facts.

Seems like he’s trying to make the best album but the output is the same as Ye and JiK...

This new s*** is really bad

  • I’ve been a fan practically since birth, like my uncle bought the college dropout first day it came out for my sister but I didn’t become a REAL fan until 808s / MBDTF as a young child Kanye made me feel like I could conquer the world and I still love his music. From 808s all the way till Ye I was hooked.

Where I fell off was Jesus is King, it just felt rushed and like his heart wasn’t in it. Also he’s been getting more off beat (rapping wise) the older he gets. I know he has AT LEAST another TLOP in him. His vault is crazy he just needs more guidance these days (musically). I

his last two solo efforts are trash.

  • Not trash, but not the standards we’re used to!

He still has the ability to make catchy stuff but there's no depth anymore; for me the comparison between Pablo and Ye is such a clear divider of where the quality drops

    yeah we’re missing depth

    So Illegal

    I really like Ye

People harp on Ye’s rapping trending downwards but he was never a great rapper or a respected lyricist so its whatever

JIK was a solid gospel album and Ye was a really good personal look into Ye’s mind, never understood the dislike for it

    that’s fake history

he is one of the best ever rappers. all falls down, jesus walks, diamonds from sierra leone, gone, champion, homecoming, dark fantasy, gorgeous, power, monster, so appalled, hell of a life, blame game, no more parties in la... i mean the list goes on

i hate discussion of fandoms themselves or of “the fans” as a hive mind like this because it literally doesn’t matter at all

how do you motherfuckers actually hate Ye but like JIK? you’re just wrong

New Ye stans are almost as bad his Yes Men. That’s the reason why terrible songs like “Nah Nah Nah” gets released in 2020.

“Oh he’s just having fun” No nigga that s*** is TRASH lol stop enabling him to be mediocre. That’s the problem, y’all accept anything.

can't believe there's people out there saying nah nah nah is amazing
