Not always. Christopher Columbus was mixed. The “Europeans” that came here were diverse. Spain at the time was mostly black or mixed race.
The Church (Vatican) gave the go ahead for Europeans to take the land from the inhabitants. Look up Doctrine of Discovery. Not everyone is fighting your fight...

just reading bury my heart at wounded knee by dee brown and yeah op is really generalizing. Some tribes did slavery (not only of black people) but many of them proved to be helpers of slaves.

It is sad and I made sure to mention not all of them had slaves but it doesn't change the fact that some did and supported the south because of their desire to keep them.
