its othello, laurence played a lonely moor and kills himself at the end cause of a snowbunny
its like some natives are jealous, because they were almost wiped out but still dont get talked about enough because of the slavery of africans.
but i dont know
and they never ever dominated europe. just some part of spain (andalusia). they lost many wars against the francs and were lucky that the christian kingdoms were busy burning witches and heretics
Yea idk about that stuff.
He uses films to show how Hollywood references that period.
Huh this almost made my mind kick into overdrive of ignoring this... But I also forgot that tribes also did f***ed up s***. This thread is a lil bit of reality kicking in
Had me until "stop trying to figure out who was the good and bad guy and move forward with ourselves with no hatred over the past."

I just don't think it's fair to anyone to try and figure out who was worse to who when everyone was s***ty to everyone.
People just sucked until recently.

People still suck and certain groups undeniably played a bigger role than others and enabled certain behaviors. If your solely talking about people trying to out woke each other while fighting for the same things then I agree, but generally wrongs of the past intrinsically tie into a lot wrongs of the present and correcting such things to have people on the same footing as everywhere else, you need to a***yze things that became before especially regarding systemic and social issues.
Egyptians are Africans
Every civilization that arose throughout history had some form of slaves
Trying to pinpoint it to one group isn’t possible
Yea and some blacks owned slaves and were highly regarded members of their community. The exceptions Still doesn’t take away the fact that vast majority were treated like s***.
Big mistake a generalize all Native Americans together. there were literally thousands of tribes and other bands
And the Seminoles in Georgia/Florida used to be a bastion for freed slaves where they would escape to and be welcomed into their society as equals in shared oppressed history
it’s important when reading history to never say never and never say always. There’s exceptions to every single thing. 99% percent of native americans didn’t own slaves and 99% of African Americans didn’t own slaves. but some did
there were black people (generally former slaves but not holistically) who owned slaves in the colonies of what would eventually become the US; one example being Anthony Johnson as far back as like legit 1630. it doesn't mollify just how horrid and inhuman slavery was by any means (which seems to be often be the point of these types of historical discussions online), but it does add interesting historical context
