many native americans are actually hard core trump supporters
my friend travels throughout the midwest he said its the most bizarre thing ever
Should I go out of my way to empathize with their suffering in a way that requires me to take action when they couldn't do the same?
Yes
I'm probably the first person on here to get s*** on for not sympathizing with willing slave owners
U act like every native was a slave owner man
What? Who told you this blatant lie?
Unless you’re trolling you are an idiot
someone already explained the whole story, don't know why y'all just read quote and keep it moving
U act like every native was a slave owner man
People talk like this about white people having slaves acting like they all did and nobody gives a s*** lmao
U act like every native was a slave owner man
Not all white people owned slaves either. Let's move forward from this point not trying to figure out who f***ed over who more and move to a better tomorrow.

Because I don’t know how someone can say something like that with such confidence and not bother to fact check it.

shut up whitey

LOL, people on here have said MUCH worse without being fact checked. You're just a bully.

This is your thread and you’re OP.
Stop crying
Not true. Slavery was practiced in different forms in cultures all over the world for thousands of years. It was Islamic empires and European empires that capitalized and militarized it. African didn't "do it first"
its impossible to say who did it first.
the greatest empires are based on slavery and exploitation
so every big ancient culture could be first to do it structurell. rome, persia, nubia, mesopotamia, china, egypt etc.
mostly the wealthy ones with European blood pushed for slave holding. It’s also true that white Americans pressured Natives to take up slaveholding as a way to show their acculturation+prevent further theft of land. Of course it didn’t make a difference in the long run. Native Black relations are very complicated, but Europeans purposely put the groups in competition

Until a few days ago, NO ONE in my entire life told me there was Native Americans on the side of the South during the Civil war or that they owned slaves.
This is stuff you find out on your own through researching because this information isn't handed to you even in schools. So leave me alone.
Not all white people owned slaves either. Let's move forward from this point not trying to figure out who f***ed over who more and move to a better tomorrow.
There are multiple tribes of native Americans quit generalizing
Plus there were blacks that owned slaves too, these were people trying to fit in with the whites of the south
I'm not white big p****
You're in here crying because white people get blamed for slavery
Free Blacks (& poor whites) in the early 20th cent were encouraged to become property owners of what should have been Native land to further ruin the potential to join together. David Chang’s Color of the Land is one phenomenal resource for this topic

So me saying that meant I agreed with him that not all Natives owned slaves and the title said SOME Natives owned Slaves
not sure about OP but I often read something like this:
So well, I guess noone is ever 100% innocent but to now frame them as a perpetrator instead of a victim is also ridiculous.
White people care more about who gets blamed for slavery than the people that went through it lmao
