all of this was intentional and this is what he wanted to do the whole time. all of the ice skating and etc was cover so that the organizers of the festival would let him perform and he could last minute pull it all and do this instead for whatever reason. Hence no merch either

ive been saying this all this time and im glad people are realizing like there would literally be not nearly as much backlash or it wouldve blown over by now if there were a livestream!! people would be running back the good parts (which was literally most of the performance) like no tomorrow instead of cringing at out of context clips and actually making s*** up

by all accounts he showed up on sunday pissed and not wanting to perform. he almost cancelled day of. seems to me there are two possibilities:
it was bad unintentionally
it was bad intentionally and the whole thing was some self serving art piece related to his a24 deal

it wasn't a complete s***show of a performance and the parts that were great were really great but it was pretty f***ing bizarre for a headline coachella performance, exceedingly disjointed and was pretty apparent to every single person in the audience that something weird had happened
I can understand that watching the livestream you can pick the parts you enjoyed but to show up late and do what he did was very very unusual and pretty hard to pretend it was a good performance as a whole in really any way shape or form. and im a huge frank fan who definitely found a lot of joy in his performance regardless but I can also accept that it was by any real measure not a good show
Niggas on here really tryna act like a live performance is some super subjective thing, when in reality it isnāt. Either the audience enjoyed it or they didnāt
Most of the audience was either confused or completely disappointed, that means that it wasnāt a good show just like you said here

Anyone with a brain can tell that Endless was born from the same sessions as Blond. Frank was able to execute both projects so well that it made them feel very distinct. The structuring of Endless was genius and made it more than the sum of its parts. It stands on its own, but it is made up of things that didnāt make Blond. One way to know that the projects are fluid is that Mitsubishi Sony was supposed to be on Blond. The nostalgic storytelling should be a tip off too.
Not hard to imagine the words of Alabama, Slide On Me, and Comme de GarƧon fitting with the themes on Blond. āSuburbia got a yard all this estate for my mind to runā that part always screamed blond too
Obviously Frank made a s*** ton of music in those 4 years, and I donāt believe there was āblond sessionsā and āendless sessionsā during that until late in the process. Itās much more likely he had a pile of ideas and curated them into two projects

Nah there would still be people who are disgruntled with the performance for sure. The point of my post is that it would be better if people could decide for themselves what the show is or isnāt.
