It depends. I've worked in bigger & smaller studios. Places like Doppler have crazy equipment and antique SL boards. It really depends on what you're trying to do though.

Nikes ain’t stream of consciousness? Both projects employ stream of consciousness lyrics with nostalgic poignant narratives. They “fit” on the projects they’re on because that’s how you heard them lol. This is how they got put together and the execution really worked. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it was premeditated to go exactly that way from the beginning. We know that Mitsubishi Sony was meant for Blond so that should be enough to tell you right there. It’s hard to imagine with our idea of blonde today but it was intended that way at one point.

Blond wasn’t always Blond lol there was a process of it becoming what it became. That innocent storytelling on Slide On Me is so inseparable from the Blonde narrative for me. You play 5 on 5 3 times a week, park down the street. Evokes summer. So many lyrical moments on Endless that actually enhance the world of Blond for me. That suburbia got a yard part is the most Blond sounding s*** ever lol. The youth flashbacks of Alabama

The Blonde tracks were also originally recorded in those same hotel rooms along with the endless ones

Then the blonde tracks were selected as the songs to bring into the real studios and work on for the studio album

The hotel recordings that remained became Endless

I’m not denying there’s overlap, I’m talking overall.

Endless overall is much more a stream of consciousness lyrically and thematically whereas Blonde overall is more focused. I think that was extremely intentional on Frank’s part

The strongest ideas end up being the ones chosen for the main album

The ones that are a little more wishy washy, less poignant and less essential to the vision get put on the more abstract b sides collection. So Blonde has better songwriting as a result of that.

Endless really is the greatest B side project of all time because the way of sequencing demos like that as a stream of conscious type experience is genius. It really does work in giving the project its own identity and makes the messiness and unfinished-ness seem intentional, so I kind of get why you’re so invested in the idea that it’s so separate. But yeah it’s blonde demos curated into a brilliant piece of art

It's not easily available to people. Most people don't want to download mp3s, or upload them on Apple Music, etc.

If the projects were created concurrently, then Endless wouldn’t just be Blonde demos, especially since Endless was released first.

I still think he had the ideas for both separate projects in mind from the jump, because that was his plan to get free from Def Jam anyway

What I mean is that it's not easily available on streaming services. People now-a-days aren't going to go out of their way to download it, or play the video, unfortunately.
