BLAST in Frank Ocean’s Boys Don’t Cry 2016. I really can’t express how special it was to be a part of this. Frank reached out after buying the book and asked if there were any unpublished pictures from the series that he could include in a forthcoming book he was releasing alongside his forthcoming album at the time, Blonde. I was and am a huge fan and definitely wanted to be a part of it. He then came back to me and asked if I’d be interested in photographing him and his best friends four wheeling in the sticks of Mississippi (second video) as a way to show people that you can escape from the city, in this case New Orleans where he grew up, without having to spend thousands of dollars on vacation, an escape for everyone. Ken Block took a chance on my idea which somehow led to Frank. I’m eternally grateful to both.
