ngl I kind of understand the sentiment in my own way. Blonde was so of its time and such an important album to grow out of an emotional adolescence as a man, but I can't still obsess over it in the same way almost 10 years later, it also feels like a kind of adolescence to me now.

I hope when I have more distance again I can enjoy it in a different way again, rn it's hard to connect in the same way. I'm curious what this A24 film will bring, how he's changed now..

Yeah it came out when i was 15 going on 16, while i can say its an amazing album and still top 3 for me i cant help but think about that time and how iv grown from it.

Yeah, couple months ago it was reported that neither A24 or 2AM were involved. It was always independent.

How different was your life between summer 2016 and now? How much have you grown?

My life is nowhere near the same. Its really crazy to think about.

I truly wonder how this next project is gonna be. And how much frank himself changed.

a24 are still "indie" i guess and they had a meeting w Frank like 2-3 years ago so the idea of them working together was definitely explored. No hate personally and, look, A24 + FO is a marriage that makes sense for so many reasons but I think they've turned into more of a glamorized PR company these days which I guess does overlap with what a distribution company should be but I think they've lost a little bit of the appeal and steadfastness that got them the recognition they have now.

To the point where you feel a project's perception might get boxed in because their name's tacked onto it. I don't think perception matters imo if a film is out it's out and it's whatever but it definitely does matter elsewhere. Good move imo. Bleeker street, janus, some other indie distribution (or self releasing) could work. Don't even know the scope of the release but if he wanted to bigger then I'm curious which one he ends up with. Remember he had to get XL to help w distributing the first pressing of Blonde so...idk

I didn't change at all. Still figuring life out and don't know who I want to be... I should've progressed so much more in my 20s.
