Most of the times we judge ourselves way too harshly.

Especially, but not excluding, those of us who had a harsh or cold/lonely upbringing with family or friends.

I’m convinced that the only right way to do this game called life is to instill in yourself the deeprooted belief that you are a good person and you mean well, and that the mistakes you make can never define nor tarnish that core truth about you.

From there on you start to believe you can do much more then if your core belief is that you suck or are not social enough or don’t look good enough.

Fix up that core belief and the rest will follow

Want to highlight this part because this part spoke to me in particular. Sometimes it feels like we carry the weight of our previous actions on our shoulders and allow them to define us, or at least feel like they do.

We don't always make the right mistakes and we don't always do right by people but it's important to forgive yourself. A lot of us do bad things in this life, but don't let those things define you. You are still capable of changing and becoming a good person.

You'd be surprised at how much more positive life and your social interactions become when you aren't walking around with weight of self guilt and self demonization on your conscious

Mistakes are necessary even if you want to succeed at any craft in life. Be it work or social.

No human is perfect, so mistakes are inevitable and needed even to mirror back what you can improve. And the improvement is a welcome and neverending journey.

But it all starts with positivity and standing up after every mistake with hope and forgiveness like you said

My life is much better since I began to have more self-confidence and a more positive self-image and I believe a couple months ago I finally passed the tipping point and I am now more positive than negative about myself. I am still very harsh on myself, I would like to be kinder still about the mistakes I make, but the difference is that I am able to move on, to draw lessons from them, and to keep any negativity and self-doubt in my head rather than letting it bleed into reality or push it on other people. So even the same mistakes are far less negative because of how I react to them. Fully agree that your beliefs about yourself are incredibly important, I used to think that people didn't want to be friends with me, and that alone held me back so much - there was no other reason for the struggles I had in my social life. I was able to mostly discard that belief, and now I have improved greatly there as well.

Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes. Focus on now and just being, joy comes from within. Realizing who you are will free you from what you think the world wants you to be. The one thing you can never lose is yourself

Nope. Being hard on yourself only promotes discipline. Necessary life skill

Discipline is a skill. Most certainly needed to get far in anything.

But discipline based on self hate will only get you up til a point is my belief

Yes but being too hard on oneself stifles innovation and will stifle your motion because you're constantly over thinking

You can discipline yourself and still be kind to yourself.

If you need to beat yourself up for motivation you are doing it wrong.
