Remove the conditions that compell women to do s***work, don't demonize the individual s***workers, they're just trying to make ends meet.

I mean that's the standard leftist position. Vast majority of prostitutes don't do it because they're nymphos or whatever but because of the pressures of making a living.

American leftists are an anomaly they don't count

I think I should’ve titled the thread more succinctly tbh

I meant why would s person give respect to a s***worker on a basic one to one level

I mean your answer still holds I was just expecting something deeper I guess

no reason to respect that person other than seeing the struggle someone goes through. No reason to really disrespect hobos either, but we don't think highly of them. That's the inherent way of thinking of humans. When you look at a beautiful valley, we find it is beautiful because of how fertile it is. We prefer the valley with the greenest grass. That's because we are subconsiously looking for a place were we can thrife. Greener grass means more life, means more food probably for our kids. That's why we want to live there. Regarding humans, when we look at people as potential sexual partners or friends. Prostitutes tend to have diseases or underlying problems which gives us an aversion. Just like how hobo's presumably are not a good investment of your energy. hence we give them less respect. Not people you can gain from

    Not my point

Legality =/= societal or personal merit

I meant like the culture around s***work there, the way people from there view it

depends on the person, lots of people hate their jobs too anyway. there's still sexual slavery too, but it's a different climate when it's illegal

I feel like necessity is the primary factor for s***work right ?

I agree that it's better than when it's criminalized but ppl act like it's all sunshine and rainbows there's still tons of trafficking going on

Right. Pretty sure studies are actually inconclusive on how legalization reduces trafficking. It should be legal tho but ppl act like that'll end trafficking

The irony of this discussion will always be that for millennia men had no issue with s***work...when women were bodies to be used and disposed of at their discretion.

Now that its beneficial and perhaps even empowering for some women the power structure thats been built around s***is crumbling and some people just can't f***ing take it.

This is BS. Prostitutes were absolutely reviled for most of the Medieval Ages for example.

S***work is degenerate s*** but hey get it how you live. I can’t knock the hustle

Eh I disagree. People who say this probably would never do p*** not because of the social implications but cause they know they ain’t cut out for it

People love s***ting on s***workers but steady beat their meat 6 times a week. Weirdo behavior tbh

It is degenerate s***. P*** is a net negative on society and more should be done to keep it out of reach of children/young teenagers.

I don’t agree lol. Sounds pretty speculative on your part. I haven’t seen any proof to show that p*** is that damaging. Maybe for some people yeah, but I don’t agree with this at all

I mean at this point if you don’t see how p*** is damaging idk what to tell u.

P*** contributes to s***trafficking, abuse of women, erectile dysfunction and lower testosterone, damages your reward system, etc.

And that’s just for adults. Imagine what it does to young kids/teens who view it

Though surely not reviled enough for nobles not to have many consorts. So again the hypocrisy becomes clear. The disgust is another part of the power structure...women feeling as though their bodies are an object of negativity unless its in the specific context where a man can enjoy it without guilt is a system of control.

No axe just facts. From religion to politics to tradition there has always been systems in place to disenfranchise the woman from her own body and desires and subjugate them to the male gaze. S***on the female side has always been disgusting, heretical, or illegal for nearly all of history up until now...unless its done in a manner palatable to a man, hence the power structure.
