Not on the Series S
That’s because the Series S sucks and it can’t hit 60fps on there

Series S doesn’t suck just cuz it can’t play Sekiro in 60
game plays great without 60 anyways
Think I’ve died already 20+ times to genichiro

Yup, I feel like I just don’t do enough posture damage
Yup, I feel like I just don’t do enough posture damage
Best way to break the posture is to lower his hp and then focus on breaking the posture, i think you can hit him twice before he blocks/parries so the fight goes like this, You dodge/Parry>hit him twice>dodge/parry>hit him twice> until he’s dead

It was my turning point in the game. I never spent as much time on a later boss as I did on genichiro
felt this post. played through 3/5 of the game before realizing how many tools I was skipping over, smh

When did the fight click for you? The ashina elite before him was no problem, but genichiro…he takes all your patience

genichiro took me a good 2 hours to kill and that was pretty much where i learned how to play the game. before that i was just playing it like dark souls.
Sekiro the most confusing of the souls games and even after nearly getting the plat trophy I’m still lost af all the time

it's a bit like DS1 in that sense. there are a few different paths you can take.

True but because of the more advanced movement the paths aren’t as obvious. Plus idk the ashina outskirts and castle don’t have distinct visual cues to me I get lost around there.
Like finding the path to Senpou temple but going to finish the castle first and then forgetting how to get to Senpou lol. Or realizing where the “back” of ashina castle is.
Never played a Fromsoft game before, but I have Sekiro and Demon Souls so I'm going to give them both a go before Elden Ring. What one should I play first?

Sekiro. Demon Souls is pretty but it is the same ps3 game at heart so it's a little more dated in terms of gameplay. but I don't k ow the full tweaks given to Demon Souls other than graphics.
They're also very different games in how you engage enemies.

I did sekiro as my first one this year, the initial jump in difficulty is tough but once it clicked I was hooked on the games in general
