IMO the dodging difference is the biggest issue for souls vets. You rarely dodge in this game and I don’t think it even gives you I-frames. But running and positioning is very important too, more so than souls where you can dodge roll through attacks.

True. In Souls you get used to mashing dodge to avoid attacks. There's like a tiny i frame for dodge but you basically have to dodge the hitbox most of the time. you can't phase through things.

Yeah I have been loving it. First 3-4 hours are brutal but Genichiro was smooth.

Sure there will be some speed bumps but I don’t foresee any reason I won’t finish

The platinum was grindy af, but worth it

If you can clear Genichiro you should be fine. Gets way harder obviously but that fight shows you what the game is about.

I started this today only played about an hour or so but man I die so much. I keep getting promps that people around me are getting cursed lmao, hopefully it wont effect me too much. That dude that was chained up got me so many times I can see how this game is fun once you actually learn the mechanics and controls tho . Kinda sucks that you loose so much exp everytime you die, I aint even close to get a skill level

Blasted through like 7 mini/bosses last night in a couple of hours. All 1st or 2nd try. Game definitely gets easier once you get over that initial muscle memory shock the first 3-5 hrs

its a great game but its really hard

probably the hardest from to beat imo, i havent played ds2

but also maybe the tightest gameplay ever? and never feels unfair
