I lowkey almost beat him first try on the third phase, I got him to like two thirds of his posture bar, but I was out of heals and resurrections at that point. It was late so turned it off after that, excited to try again

Got plans tonight and tomorrow though so might not be able to til the weekend makes me miss being a kid and being able to just game all day with no worries

I'm at like 12 hours played, does that seem like normal progression? This one a couple times has had me considering quitting which Bloodborne and Elden ring didn't do for me lol

I beat Bloodborne and the DLC multiple hours under the typical time it takes based on what I saw online, but I did kinda race through some of the last few parts to get to the boss fights

12 hours in and being at Genichiro isn’t bad, there’s a couple areas you can do before him that aren’t the easiest to find on your first playthrough that’ll stock you up on Gourd seeds. His fight is really just a skill check for the rest of the game, if you can get past him you can beat almost any boss.

Sequel would be really neat.

Started off the day beating Genichiro and ended up at Fountainhead Palace

Beating the game in only a couple hours on subsequent playthroughs is so satisfying

Once you know where to go and what to do it’s almost like you can run through the game on autopilot

Isshin giving me issues now

Best fight in the game tbh, but also the hardest. You’ll get it eventually

ive never done the inner bosses but im boutta tackle them today

I was fighting him for hours and never got to the final phase lmao

Yea I find that taking a break and coming back helps when I'm extremely stuck

I literally gave up on Elden Beast for like 6+ months and came back and beat him kinda quickly lmao

Proud of myself, I always wanted to get into these games but never had the patience or skill. In particular I was so hype about Sekiro leading up to its drop, but when it came it was just too damn difficult for me

Now beat Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and Sekiro, the latter two both in the past month

Been a really good way to just disassociate from life when I come home from a long day of work

Yeah man putting the time in and getting good enough to beat bosses you never through you’d be able to is one of the best part of these games. You’re in for something really special with DS1 if you’ve never played it. The world is perfect to just put on and get lost in it, some of the best atmosphere in any game ever

I tried DS1 when I was a kid but don’t think I ever went past the first area

I just ordered the physical copy of the trilogy on Amazon for $40 instead of copping the digitalis for $140, I’m amped. Gonna be out of town this weekend then come back to them

The fourth phase of Isshin was so easy with the lighting reversal I was really only stuck on the third phase (if you count Genichiro as one)

I made it to the final phase once and died to the lightning because I wasn’t ready, but next attempt I f***ed him up

By the time I got good enough to get to the fourth phase I was damn near no-hitting the first two
