I think after basically beating sekiro my list would have to be:
Bloodborne
DS3
Sekiro
DS1
DS2
Demons

Now we wait for Elden Ring
So I finally got to the second Owl fight.... holy moly he mad
F*** I heard he would be the hardest in the game if isshin didnt have 4 health bars
Finally I can be done with this f***er. Loved the game but that isshin fight kinda wore me out on it lol.
Prolly gonna do another run of bloodborne till ff7 comes out

Yea I'm taking a week break from him lmao. Plus he's one of the only fighters that would use the same shinibo arts that you do. I'd thrust at him and he'd just mikiri counter me and kill me instantly
Beat Hirata Estate Owl took me like an hour and a half lmao. It was a bit easier since I could heal but damn he ruthless. You have to rush him or he'll just keep f***in you up.
plus I have no kuro charm so I have to perfect parry virtually everything
Since I don't even know if there is a Sekiro thread I'mma just post this here. I'm about to platinum this soon. All I have left is the skills. Just finished the "true" ending. On NG+6 now.
Crazy how a run can take like 3 hours max now.

Go get that crown king
just got this game two weeks ago haven't played I'm like 9 days. got stuck at there general mini boss that's after the ogre. i feel like im maybe not getting the upgrades and skills im supposed to? or like worried too much about his health bar? idk but im lost and very demoralized lmao. it would be easier if i didn't have to f***ing take out 8 enemies stealthily while trying not to get hit BEFORE i have to fight the general

Wish I could give you big tips but I literally dont even remember fighting him. I know I did take out all his guards before fighting him. I believe theres a route to the right of him where you can stealth kill quite a bit of guys.
As far as skills. Theres like only a couple I ever used and they werent necessary for any boss. Really almost all the skills were useless for me. The only tool that was necessary the entire game was the firecrackers. The only skill that was necessary was the mortal blade which you get like 3/4 of the way in.
I dont think theres much you can do besides buying items like sugar to make this part easier.
The health bar is a facade for damn near every boss in the game. You gotta focus on their posture to win. Master parrying. I didnt get posture down until the second Main boss so I was a bit farther than you but the sooner you get it the better.
Look up some videos on how to take him out. Also hitting guys with shuriken when they arent paying attention might kill off a few of the little guys

you could stealth attack one of the General's health bars after you kill the guards. Even if he sees you just go back and he'll reset, that works for a lot of mini bosses.

that's what i do but even still, when i fight him with one bar i get washed. i think i need to really watch videos to understand and exploit the posture system

Posture really is everything, sometimes in the beginning I would find myself watching Sekiro and anticipating an attack early or late instead of watching the enemy.
I also went to Harata to get more experience and the Flame Vent which you could use against General's with the oil. Can help knock down their posture.

you want to attack as much as you can. don't get greedy though but force their hand. it's really going to come down to learning the movesets of the bosses.
have you unlocked mikir counter yet? it helps at lot with enemies espcially when they thrust. so deflect deflect then when you see the warning symbol press circle to step on their blade.
again you're just going to have to die to learn the moveset and it definitely is way harder in the beginning when your healthbar is small.
also try circling around enemies when they're doing some long move that will have a lot of end lag and attack their back to get some chip damage. it seems impossible to get damage into them but you can and it helps with breaking their posture so it doesn't go down so fast.
also pay attention the the orange sparks when you're attacking them. it usually looks brighter and is louder. it means they've perfect parried you and will probably instantly attack back so be ready to deflect.
the game really is a back and forth but in the beginning you also need to back off and reset your own posture so you don't get broken. it's gonna take time but the game is more relentless than other FROM games because you can't just take small bits of chip damage roll and way and repeat/ because their posture will go down if they still have full health.
also virtually every single move in the game can be parried aside from grabs and sweeps. it it looks to big to be parried it's probably not.

no mickeymouse counter yet but i have one skill point saved for it. your breakdown just gave me anxiety but made me happy that I've been approaching bosses entirely wrong. all I've been doing is trying to chip at their health instead of focusing on the posture.

it is harder in the beginning because unless you perfect parry they'll probably break your posture since you're not upgraded yet and then they'll swipe you with a move.
it really does just come down to learning their attack patterns. it's like a rhythm game to me.

training with undead dude rn. i def feel myself understanding what's up now. im not so afraid of attacks. kind of getting used to baiting them. this game is weird cause you're attacks lead to defense (the most important aspect) and your defense is what really kills opps. s***s flipped. also didn't know that you have to repeatedly tap block for those attacks where they go like 3-4 times. this is kind of like sitting in the pocket playing ufc3 lol

JUST BEAT GENERAL TENZEN FIRST TRY AFTER REPROGRAMMING MY BRAIN!!!!
wow that was so dope. didn't have to revive or anything. was just fighting him and flowing with him. not being defensive but not overdoing it on O. one min later his health bar was at like 5 percent lmao im recharged.

i don’t know if you played Bloodborne/Souls but the combat is way different in terms of approach.
Seems like you’re understanding it though. There’s a boss soon that’s basically do you understand boss and will test you.
