When I was little, I lived on a hill that opened up to a busy ass street. Anyway, one day I was playing with a friend of mine in one of those old reg wagons and we were pulling each other to the top of the hill and letting each other go. The whole time we had been steering into this grassy area at the bottom of the hill so we wouldn't go into the street. So, one of the times I pulled him to the top, I gave him a little extra push for some reason. Apparently he couldn't get enough control to turn the wagon in time. So there I am, little 8 year old me, watching one of my friends head straight towards traffic. I didn't yell, run to get someone, or say anything. He got hit by an uncoming car and from what I was told years after, died on the scene after being severed in half. I don't remember much, but his parents went crazy and tried to get me into trouble and a bunch of other s***, but the courts just sad it was a bad bad situation and no one was at fault. My family ended up moving away a few months later. I did therapy for awhile and had forgotten all about it until I was visiting family and drove by that exact same hill.

Make Asian jokes about this kid relentlessly in 7th grade, I still think about just how unaware I was I really thought it was all fun but it was really borderline bullying. Once I realized it was f***ed me and my guys made it a mission to be friends with him always , we don’t talk much but he still hangs with a couple of my old friends really on the daily
