just saw on the show Wiki page that the season was filmed entirely out of order in complete contrast to 1 and 2, which isnt that surprising for obvious reasons

    production order:

    1 - Three Slaps
2 - Sinterklaas Is Coming to Town
    3 - New Jazz
4 - The Old Man and the Tree
    5 - Trini 2 De Bone
    6 - White Fashion
    7 - Cancer Attack
    8 - Tarrare
    9 - The Big Payback
10 - Rich Wigga, Poor Wigga

this season’s timeline is so unconventional that I wanna go back and rewatch in production and airdate order to see if it flows better or worse

New jazz being that early makes so much sense

    YA ICEMAN ACE

They've played with exaggerated timescales a few times this season and I thought it's worked well. It basically seemed like Darius came back the next day to the Nigerian food place and it had somehow gone out of business in a flash and that woman had already opened up its Naija Bowl replacement.

Then in this ep Van has somehow found a way to establish this entirely new life with multiple lovers, a hand-serving procurement and chef position, cover of a magazine, fully furnished and decorated apartment, etc. It felt so dramatic and over-the-top, I think in part because she was completely desperate to escape from her old life and establish a new identity for herself.

Any other examples where stuff played out in an unrealistic timespan?

The time loop in New Jazz episode

it is that level of quality

every episode is at least an 8 with quite a few near perfect ones

Being at least an 8 isn’t good enough to be “the best tv show of all time”. Especially a TV show that is so short in length/episodes

did she send her friend or did she try taking the money for herself

Or did she find ANOTHER client? 🤔

Yall weird saying this episode isn't funny or maybe I'm just a twisted individual but this one of the funniest episodes to me.

You definitely twisted. Nah I’m joking. It’s perfectly fine finding this episode enjoyable, just don’t be pretentious by calling others “weird” for not rocking wit it

Very stupid and fell apart under the slightest scrutiny.

Nah yall can’t do that bro. Y’all sit here and praise how disconnected and weird the show is. If somehow the writers did run with her being dead, y’all would enjoy it. Don’t say it’s stupid now just cus the theory came from fans on Reddit.

In all honesty Van being dead theories make more sense than whatever the last episode was.

In second thought Van is dead theories could STILL be true and this last episode served as a visual to purgatory. That’s not how I feel, just an example how you can literally stretch things into your own meaning with this show being the way they designed it.

as soon as Van came in pretending not to know Candice with that fake ass french accent I was f***in weak

knew we were in for a great episode off the ridiculousness of that alone lmao

It's wild because I absolutely love every single episode the main cast is in.

  • May 21, 2022

Atlanta is the type of show where no theory is too stupid or weird

  • May 21, 2022

But technically it’s what we still got. Just not fleshed out.

Technically it does continue from S2 and we find out that Clark rapper died.

Technically we did see adventures of the crew in Europe on their tour.

normally i love it when creators talk their s*** but this is something that DG doesn’t really get to decide about his show, the public does. like The Sopranos isn’t considered the GOAT show bc David Chase says it is. it’s considered that because the public and TV lovers say it is

I guess it’s nice to see the passion though lol

It’s a difference between saying “I feel this is MY greatest work, we put our all into this” VS saying “this IS THE greatest show”

Honestly think the only person that’s worked for is Kanye with MBDTF. And even then idk if he said prior to the album coming out “this is going to be the greatest rap album ever”

  • May 21, 2022

Honestly the bread idea and using it as a weapon was creative af. I honestly woulda saved this episodes idea for later and made a whole different show out of it (with some tweaks)!

Only one meh episode this season. Rest was amazing. As far as the anthology episodes the Kevin Samuels one was my favorite. As far as the main story the episode with the stolen phone was my favorite.

  • Seen so many people divided over Trini 2 De Bone. People either loved it or didn’t care for it all

  • May 21, 2022

Great season. Can’t believe we only have one season left

Zazie can beat me with a breadstick and cook my hands whenever she feels like it imma just be honest with you

I might be COMPLETELY bugging here, but this picture made me realize that Zazie and Taylour Paige kind of sort of look alike. Similar jawline and facial symmetry.

They both got that lip curl thing going on.

you would think that with all the heat Donald gets for his portrayal of black women that a season where they sideline the black woman lead the entire time only to give her a ridiculous episode at the end where it’s revealed that she just got depressed and went insane would be the last thing he’d do idk man the more I think abt this season the worse it gets

How would that have been more of a shock when you got all these stupid ass theories about it going on. This episode was completely left field no one expected this.

Van with French accent goes on a manic day in France

    S*** was trash
