Thought this season was decent. The anthology episodes to me, seemed like they were suppose to function as a mirror for the white/nonblack audience that watches the show. Won’t say they weren’t profound, but they didn’t have that umph or impact on me as it might for other people. The complaint that people were missing the main cast, is valid I guess. I didn’t feel anyway about it. Wasn’t really a plus or minus for me. I think people just wanted more linear story telling, and weren’t expecting what we got.

Al’s episode when he was tweakin off the d**** would be my pick for best episode of the season. Looking forward to s4. I think Brian Tyree Henry should be nominated for an Emmy.

A lotta women or at least them Twitter personality types always tweet about these types of feelings though. Especially recently there has been sorta a backlash against the “strong black woman” stereotype. In the sense that black women are often portrayed to be almost unemotional, able to handle obscene amounts of “bad s***” for lack of a better phrase, and come out all the more resilient for it.

There's a difference in silly comedy and making one of your main characters someone who belongs in a mental institution for the rest of their lives

It's honestly not that divisive. Pretty sure the only big issue people have is with the finale and just with the cannibal/hands aspect

Season 4 is gonna start with Van with Lottie like nothing happened and it's gonna suck.

Not when it’s connected to a main characters arc. It’s a difference than some random person running ppl over wit an invisible car.

Facts. It’s really off putting seeing Van just randomly do all this lunatic s*** and then tie it up as “meh she was depressed” and then we’ll probably move on from it like it was nothing

They're trying to come up with so many different ways to insult us instead of just acknowledging that maybe we thought something was actually poorly written.

Thing that some ppl don’t realize is when you bring in a random new character like Teddy you can make him however you want because we haven’t lived wit him and don’t know anything about him. DARIUS didn’t do anything that episode that was far left from his character.

When you take a main character like Van and try to all sudden go super left field with her, it becomes off putting because we have grown to see how her character is developed so when all sudden she’s doing numerous of things that doesn’t make sense, it leaves room for us to dislike it.

I notice everyone keeps comparing the actions a main character (Van) is doing to what RANDOM characters did, as a way to say “see they’ve been doing this in Atlanta the whole time” when in actuality it’s not the same.
