what would you say are the top 3-5 basketball sneakers on the market right now (no hype/collab type s*** tho please)

my dads bday is coming up at the end of this month and he been hinting at wanting new basketball shoes forever (mfer won’t even be able to play basketball like that for a couple months but he still wants the shoes lol)

I’m not a sports guy at all so I don’t even know where to start looking or what’s considered good/bad

For basketball, Kobes are the only answer, though Nike stopped selling them and resellers marked them up like a mfer. The only other model id even consider would be the kyries but theyre kind of a mid. Idk too much bout kd’s newer ones but his older ones are lowtop, look for kd 4s those are his best model imo

8s are the greatest bball shoe ever created tbh. Which specific one is listed for $2000? The only ones that were ridiculously priced were the grinch 6s, OC 6s, and Galaxy 7s but im guessing everyone marked theirs up because of his death smfh shameful
