My order of the tracklist personally, from best to worst, done just for fun:
wacced out murals
hey now
reincarnated
squabble up
heart pt. 6
peekaboo
gloria
tv off
man at the garden
luther
gnx
dodger blue
I know I have some controversial picks there, but that’s how I would rate the album for myself, personally.
That being said, even the “worst song” is like, 7/10, so it’s still an amazing album
Win
I doubt that everybody who votes, know that the rules have been turned around this last round
Seeing the top songs laid out like this kind of affirms my feeling that GNX is Kendrick's least-great album
Still great in the grand scheme of hip hop, but neither of these songs would even be top 5 on GKMC or TPAB.
After GNX and probably Gloria there is no right answer what to eliminate next
That being said Hey Now >>>> Wacced

Idk if it's because of the lack of a concept but I've really been struggling to come back to this album. Listened a few days ago for the first time since release (so like 3 or 4 full listens total). While the album only has like 1 or 2 songs I'd call misses and I think the album is better than I initially did, I just can't put it above GKMC, TPAB, DAMN, maybe even S80
I think we're still in the hype of this album but when it passes, niggas will see that they were kinda gassing it. Like we have niggas saying Wacced Out Murals his best intro rn
Also, I hate the term "quotables" but I feel like Morale and GNX lack punchlines/wordplay. I'm a huge fan of that in rap, a bar that has you like when you catch it. I do need to listen to this album more, but I didn't catch any on my few listens
I'm talking lines like:
I used to want to see the penitentiary, way after elementary
Thought it was cool to look the judge in the face when he sentenced me
Since my uncles was institutionalized
My intuition had said I was suited for family ties
Clever wordplay because suit-ties. And you tend to wear a suit in court. J Cole's line about I flip like exclamation points. Feels like on those 2 albums, Kendrick just rapping to get his point or story across without the little flourishes of great poetry and lyricism

He uses imagery versus direct like metaphors as his punchlines in the 2 albums you mentioned. Actually pretty much what he’s done most of his career

It started with TPAB imo but I really want him to go back and I feel like GNX was the perfect opportunity. Sherane is bar after bar
I understand this just my preference, but it's something I really value in a rapper. It's one of the reasons why 4:44 > Mr Morale for me. Similar concept but Jay still had great bars in droves on his album

It’s probably why people rank Drake higher than Kendrick cause a lot of people think like you do
I don’t think he should go back. Art doesn’t work like that tbh. I given up on wishing for something out these dudes and just enjoy what they produce

GKMC not even top 3
GKMC not even top 3

I never liked Lil Wayne because I always found his punchlines/wordplay way too simple (from what I've heard, which is mostly his hits). Like similies and wordplay are not inherently worse than imagery/metaphors, you can still do those and be nice with it
"Tryna strike a chord and it's probably a minor" is witty af, I just want more of that style of rapping on his albums. That's probably the only criticism I can even think of for Kendrick rn, other than that, he's a perfect rapper

Bro the entirety of TV Off is punchlines/flips/wordplay
Hey Now has a lot too lol your username is literally one of them. What are we doing here
how did gloria and man at the garden not make it to the end but hey now did??
theres actually no way you like man at the garden more than hey now

Well there starts the problem lol. Gotta do your listening history before offering critique dawg. Where my Wayne stans?
We could go just one album:
We could go recent:
