Yup that's the problem with fancasting. People always want to cast someone who looks exactly like the character, but they don't think about if they have the acting chops to actually do a good job

It's a bad idea to skip the story of the first 3 games. You could stretch this show out to AT LEAST 5 seasons if you used the source material

Season 1-3 based on the OG trilogy.
4 and 5 based on 2018 and Ragnarok.
And then by the time season 5 is out, there would probably be a new GOW game out that they could adapt for a 6th season

It would be waaay too expensive to faithfully adapt the first 3 games, and there’s no chance they’d be able to compare to the scope of what those games achieved

I'd have liked an adaptation of the earlier games more even though I like the reboot games more.

Though considering how the 2018 one like outsold the entire trilogy, they'll probably just start with the 2018 one.
