Dave Bautista would be a great choice for several reasons.
But it would all depend on if they are planning to adapt the older games, or the most recent games

He’d be too old to play a young Kratos, but would be the perfect age for an older and quieter Kratos.

Also we know he can do the quiet and threatening demeanor because of his role in BR2049, and he can also be the type to yell and be aggressive like in Dune.
So overall I think he’d be the best choice for Kratos

No chance they adapt the old games

Yea it would be way too expensive for sure, it’s just the general audiences may be confused about Kratos’ backstory if they skip it. But I’m sure they can figure out a way to explain his backstory in different ways

But yea my choice for Kratos would be Dave Bautista, and then just hire some unknown young child actor as Atreus
