Headache? That's new. Drinking water would most likely be the best idea, especially to ease yourself into the rhythm of going.

I started very high volume doing lots of reps with lower weights, cuz i had a bad habit of overexerting and losing interest.
This has worked for me cuz now i have more patience and i know my muscles more intimately so i can do a proper pull or push and activate exactly what i want to work out.
My favorite exercise are dead hangs probably, i like what it does for my back as well as turning my grip into an iron vice and pumping my forearms
Might get into deadlifting but im a little wary

That's a great way to get injured and never go back in the gym. There's a reason why even professional athletes have trainers. Some guy that has not stepped foot in the gym for years is not going to know how to lift properly by watching some youtube videos.
Its true he won't be doing everything 100% correct but he can know enough to not injure himself and honestly idk his gym but I wouldnt trust a trainer by default
Hit a serious sprint trying to let out some energy after doing some lifts.
Was out of breath for like 5 min and got a killer headache

OP an important thing to know is to not try to overdo it your first day or two there. That’s an easy way to burn out and not want to go back. challenge yourself, but be realistic. Remember discipline over motivation

Start with light weights, lift with proper form, progressively overload lmao thats all you have to do
