Im ready to hit this S***. Any tips on what strength training exercises to do to start off? I wanna hit my chest n arms primarily but I know hitting everything is optimal.

How do I go into it softly so I don't blast my muscles and end up sore for days?

Ima need to get my workout Playlist ready my Bose headphones sound CRISPY thru my phone. I was gonna use some in ear ones cuz they're low profile, but they don't stay in for s*** and they don't sound as good

Good on you for not over exerting yourself. Went with my friends for the first time in years on Sunday and my body especially my legs were hella sore the following days.

I'd recommend starting with a real barebones routine. I'm talking 1 set of 10 or so reps for each compound lift at a low weight, and call it a day. Maybe do a set with just the bar first to gauge how much weight you should put on, but I wouldn't put on a lot. My first day at the gym, I squatted 1 set of 10 at 80 and my legs were legitimately jello for the rest of the day. I'm saying they bucked below me, twice. Now if you've lifted before, you might have some mind muscle connection and maybe the soreness won't be that bad, but I still think starting with that barebones routine of a couple sets per compound lift for at least a week or two would be beneficial. If only to regain good form and get back into the swing of things.
