"whats a good food that also takes like s***"
lmfso
Underrated pick.
Album was very strong conceptually but had a weak single and meh production.
I honestly see it the other way around. Great production but to me it feels like Nas wanted to make 'political' album but had no real concept or philosophy to guide him so it ends up being a mess.
The one track 'We're Not Alone' that tries to link climate change, aliens and racism is especially awkward
I'm going to get ratioed for this but Some Rap Songs might lowkey be a contender too.
It took me a loooong while to appreciate that album because of the production.
production on that is fire lol
Good thread idea I’m gonna try to think of some. Been listening to allot of 2000’s rap/r&b, I think that’s where you’ll probably find the best examples
Lupe Fiasco ( I joke )
"whats a good food that also takes like s***"
eh i see more like good food that doesnt look so good
I cannoot think of an album i considerr good with bad production, if it has bad production i do not thnk the album is good
a lot of rock from the 2000s has great songwriting, great ideas, great performances but horrible brickwalled sound, but i guess that's more mixing i will update title
i didn't fw i'm your man by leonard cohen for a long time because of the production but now i really enjoy it
my album (bad mixing)
legends
you watch any of danzigs movies? 💀
Movies? Nah, I didn't know he made movies, f*** nigga.
Are they any good?
Movies? Nah, I didn't know he made movies, f*** nigga.

hell nah they're terrible they're influenced by b-movies and s*** but without any of the quirks that make them good...just a demented elderly man's wet dream on a spirit halloween budget
i feel like so many albums in the past like 15 years have been overcompressed with the eq turned up to the max
Indicud, Pablo, bulletproof wallets, gods son, entire middle chunk of blueprint 3, probably all of the rza solo albums but I’m not listening to that s***
i go back and listen to like 3 rza solo songs but i feel like them sounding bad is part of his thing
All Nas projects after illmatic
Every J Cole album
Most Rocky projects after live.love
4 your eyez only actually sounds incredible with dolby atmos to me
hell nah they're terrible they're influenced by b-movies and s*** but without any of the quirks that make them good...just a demented elderly man's wet dream on a spirit halloween budget
Please recommend some. I love a horrible horror film!

F*** you, f*** nigga!

The mixing and production is part of the appeal for me, f*** nigga.
Got into the album mainly cause of Earl's raps.
But this is also valid, f*** nigga.
a lot of rock from the 2000s has great songwriting, great ideas, great performances but horrible brickwalled sound, but i guess that's more mixing i will update title
That was the sound of the time, f*** nigga. In the 2000's, everything was compressed and pushed to the front.
my album (bad mixing)
engineer needs prison time
engineer needs prison time
guilty I made that album all by myself, produced mixed cover art everything, I'm not that good at mixing though
