When I use to work at Walmart I worked in Frozen Dairy I basically was autonomous, I just restocked the milk when it was running low and chilled in freezer listening to music or walk around

No one told me anything and I really didn’t report to anyone except the Walmart upper management

but the people i worked with on night shift if they’re cool with employing people with that imagine what they keep on the graveyard shift

Well of course corporations aren’t your friend. Work places don’t aim to be anybody’s “friend”. I’ve worked at SEVERAL retail corporations and have never been fired. I’ve only quit and found better jobs. It boils down to simply having a good work ethic. I know “work ethic” is frowned upon nowadays but working is natural part of human life. You may as well excel at what you do. How do people expect to get better job placements if they put out mediocre work everywhere they go?

Lol my time at walmart was pretty good.

Literally had the most laidback job in there AND the management loved me so they left me alone

(They was pretty harsh to others tho, especially pregnant workers)

This is an honest question; how are people feeling defeated from simple retail jobs? They’re not intended to be careers, just a low form of income for students and young people in general. What is so soul crushing about it? Like yea, the s*** sucks, but I never expected to have my dream job off rip. I know these companies don’t care about me, I sure as hell don’t care about them. Just there for a check and I dip.
