Guys you gotta explore with games like these.
S*** like that made Botw so amazing.
This might actually be way better than its given credit for I love the approach they're going with
I wonder how big the map is.

looked pretty big. I think they even said the map we saw in that first vid was a section of the main map
They really blessing us this summer
don't forget the mafia remakes and destroy all humans if yall ever played that
didn't they say you could do side s*** and explore for days straight and not finish the game?

Probably decent.
But I wouldnt expect anything insane. Probably just a good bit bigger than the last infamous games map

Yeah. They said a few areas are locked for story content but the majority is pretty much gree to explore. I'd say you get 90% of the map to explore after the first couple missions

I actually hope the map isnt huge like RDR2 for example. Dont want this to just be a huge open world type of game where it takes you alot of time going from point A to B.

I agree with that. that map size should be reserved for like rpgs and maybe adventure but not action games

Tired of riding horses and having to spend alot of time going from 1 place to the other.

Yeah I'm with you on this, played out by this point. The way to fix it is the Breath of Wild approach, and somewhat RDR2. Give less of a from point A to point B marked style, and more of an exploration feel with dynamic events occurring and you discovering new landmarks and places to go/see.
I have hope this is going the latter from all that has been said.
But keeping that fresh for a whole play through is difficult. Same essential problem with GTA, just with cars. The travelling just becomes routine when given a fixed map.

i f***ed with it in TLOU2 since it had a good balance with it, but yeah absolutely horrendous in BOTW and RDR2

Loved how balanced TLOU2 was with having a linear gameplay but still kinda open world.
I think God Of War did it best tho tbh. Its pretty much an open world, but still feels linear when you enter a "new mission", and always discovering new stuff as you go along.
