the lifeblood of Balkan folk
r u gonna tell us what these are
In order:
-Tavce Gravce - beans with herbs, spices and usually some type of sausage, cooked in a clay pot. That gives it a very unique, rustic taste.
-Ajvar - absolute winter time classic.Roasted red bell peppers oil and eggplant(not always tho).Cooked to absolute perfection, usually a condiment, eaten as a side dish or bread spread.
-Shopska salata - just a salad with white cheese, red onion, tomatoes, peppers, cucumber and herbs.Taste is very fresh, very mediterranean.
-Burek - flaky pastry with meat.Usually eaten with yogurt for breakfast.Staple food, must try before you die.
-Cevapi/kebapi - straight up meat with spices, rolled into shapes like that, eaten with pita and onion.
-Tulumba - very sweet pastry, cant really describe the taste, you have to try it
