Man I really did not like this episode. Where tf did the budget for this series go? I don't think we even saw Hal use a single actual construct in the entire show besides a generic shield and green blasts
It was not necessary to bring down Hal Jordan's character to bolster John Stewart. There were better ways to write this
When Antaan asks "what were our children's name?" is it implying he f***ed Zoe at some point in the past?
Where do they even go from here?
this episode was peak
ep 6 sneak preview time jump and John is trying to solve Hal's murder
my guess is Zoe's grandkid who killed him

i hear ya - i love Hal's portrayal in the show but i donno where else do you take the story. the entire thing is the passing of the mantel.

Seems you were watching the episode with your butt unfortunately

Seems like a trap question, considering the lack of trust in them actually being the manhunter

Lol then go ahead and let me know where the budget went. We never get to see the true form of any of these aliens besides the back of a guardians head. Veteran Green Lantern, Hal Jordan uses his ring like he got it yesterday. Literally builds no constructs in this show beside a f***ing bottle opener

Says where’s green lantern ring stuff, episode had green lantern ring stuff
Love that by the end of the episode, John becomes himself. Instead of being something that everyone wants him to be, he decides for himself and becomes something different. His personality will shine from this point.
Another banger
I dont really get the whole budget critique. instead of stretching the budget to have constructs everywhere resulting in cheap sfx, they use it tastefully and in ways that makes sense for the story they're telling. (e.g. Hal keeping his ring low on charge because he doesn't want to recite the oath. Which lines up with a character that's overly jaded)
I get its a GL show but its clearly a more character driven and grounded take
whole episode felt like a finale, interesting to see what happens
also Guy Gardner’s Lantern is also of this universe and human, so i guess we’ll see him in the coming episodes be the one chosen cos John rejects it
does earth have more than one lantern in the comics?

Yes, he said in Ep. 2 “John, have you ever been betrayed by someone you love?”

Yeah there's multiple earth bound lanterns. I really wanna know how he ties into this because guy's ring isn't the same as Hal's in this universe, I dont know if the ring changes appearance based on who wears it either

Ring changes appearance based on who made the project
Crying at the fact that Hal hates John so much he’d rather make ppl think he gay than John being the alpha
