First of all, she’s a cop so her being trigger happy is totally believable.
Second of all, she thinks she’s protecting her son by shielding him from the world. She didn’t even know that Noah already knew what he was.
He was hate watching he doesn’t get it
Guy has an ego issue he’d be willing to fight Superman. He isn’t the strongest lantern lmao. Also guardians probably know John is the better choice despite not wanting to work directly with them. Did you not remember what he told Guy to tell the guardians at the end?
John just getting his ring isnt going to be the greatest at using his powers . If he had to face earth threats that we have already seen guy face he would possibly fail.
again man of tomorrow will remedy some of these problems. hawkgirl likely face punishment for killing. Mr terrific teams up with john stewart while some outkast song plays
it is what it is
you know... as someone who knows jack s*** about green lantern. never watched a show, read a comic or anything, this show did NOT do a great job of explaining much. there's still so much about the guardians, the different colors, s*** sinestro, these other planets, manhunters... all of this stuff still doesn't really make sense or feel clear?
and I don't know if it's just me or if i did a bad job of watching and paying attention but when I listen to podcasts or reviewers they seem to just have some of the lore knowledge going into the show and just know stuff that I don't...
Think you're too focused on the lore from the comics. Most of it doesn't have relevance and is beyond the scope of this season.
All you need to know is explained in the show. The guardians of oa are guardians of the universe and perseve order. They created the GL corps to do that job and their weapon is the Ring that is powered by their holder's will. The ring chooses a successor after a member passes. Sinestro was a member and revolted and led to the killing of a guardian which made the guardians revaulate their selection process. Which is why John selection was different than Hal's
The manhunters were the predecessors to the GL Corp but were wiped out due to their faulty programming which made them give into destructive impulses
Hal was point blank assassinated by a cop who has a manhunter for a son, and that all was just kinda shoved under the rug
And now a guy with a unsanctioned ring and a Lantern forged with fear by an escaped Guardian murderer now can just tell the Guardians and the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 that he is an independent contractor for Earth who has things all under control. Ummm
It’s highkey irresponsible to let John be a lantern. This should be a point of contention if they’re continuing with him for an S2.
I feel Noah’s story mirrors Superman’s. Nature vs Nurture.
They both were raised by humans even though Noah had Zoe which is why he was still struggling with his nature well into his teen years while Clark obviously didn’t struggle with that.
Noah took the fall for Hal’s death and gave up the ring to John. So obviously it’s fair to say nurture won out at the end for Noah’s story just like Superman’s in this DCU version of his parents.

It didnt work for me. I fully understand it. I fully understand the reasoning of it. It definitely was an eyerolling moment where I rewinded thinking i missed somehting. Is there the possibility hal kills the manhunter ? I guess if you want to read it like that. But I dont think that was done well. Especially to be a headshot. If you loved it cool
I dont think the emotional moments of this episode were earned. Thats my take. The closest being the mercy kill noah asked for but even that something felt missing for me.

nah deadass
Go f*** yourself annoying ass c***
I was laughing cause he said Oh!
no reason to be this hostile about me laughing at him saying Oh!
Because he was asking questions from a genuine position saying the show doesnt explain or connect a lot of the lore for him vs what many know going into it. The show does exposition dumps but I do wish it did a bit more of hinting on the things not from the comics that people should have a better idea of after 8 hours of the television show. Thats my take. I think it did okay but it did lack in some things. Yes comic and cartoon fans know or have all the easter eggs but if a viewer of just the show doesnt have some of the gravity of these things they will care and connect with the content less. Which he is say he did.

It was absolutely a d***head post and I’ll respond accordingly
nah deadass
I dont see how it cant be a point of contention. I am also in a way wondering why they did all that without even greenlit for season 2 and how it works into man of tomorrow but time will tell. Him having the ring of the person that was assonated that he doesnt care to turn in the killer is kind of corruption
. there is hints of him being a yellow lantern in some way too and they mention it in podcast . I am just very "what is going on " to some of the changes.

me saying LMFAO warrants slurs being used

Nature vs Nurture sure but how is covering up the murder of the person who you got the ring from not extremely corrupt?
what makes him any different from a cop?

John literally said that’s what Hal would have wanted.
Do you really think the Hal that we’ve spent the last 8 weeks watching would have wanted this woman that he loved to spend the rest of her life in prison for a mistake she made thinking she was protecting her son?
He was hate watching he doesn’t get it
I was hate watching a show where I am on the first page and have been hyped for multiple years . Said Lindelof gonna splash them and be the best dc thing of 2026.

7 years of being hyped for this show I clearly wanted it to not like it was my secret plan
